Hello! I'm the bookbinder and librarian behind Wallflower Bindery, based in Asheville, North Carolina since 2020. My path into this work began in 2001 while studying visual art as an undergraduate at UNC-Asheville, and has taken me through a Master's in Library and Information Science, a book conservation internship at the Ryerson & Burnham Library at the Art Institute of Chicago, and a diploma in Fine Binding from the American Academy of Bookbinding, where I served as Managing Director from 2017 to 2020.

In addition to my years of bookbinding experience serving private collectors, universities, government agencies, publishers, and corporate clients, I also bring over a decade of experience in librarianship to my work. I currently offer custom design bindings, book and paper repair, and custom protective enclosures — always balancing preservation with craftsmanship, so each piece can be used and loved for years to come.
